Our Top 3 Party Activities for Young Children

Our Top 3 Party Activities for Young Children

Looking for some easy party activities? Parents, big kids and toddlers will love our top 3.

1. Ring toss or Quoits

Children can play this one alone or with friends, inside or out and as a bonus, it’s helping to develop hand-eye coordination. This is super fun for all ages.

You don’t even have to follow the rules to have fun. Younger children will enjoy a simple toss as they practice their gross motor skills. Whereas older children might like to see if they can colour match rings to coordinated pegs, or count how many rings they have managed to land.

You can even make your own with bottles and heavy rope.

2. Knock Down Cans

This is a fun one to watch. Not only do the children have fun throwing and hearing the clang of the cans falling down, but stacking them back up is also a fun challenge.

To play the game, simply stack the cans in a pyramid formation. Each player takes turns tossing the ball to see who can knock down the most cans. The player to knock down the most cans wins!

Make your own from empty cans, spray painted to suit your party theme, as some small balls or bean bags.

3. Let's go Fishing

The aim of this fishing game is to catch as many as you can. A fun hand-eye coordination activity. Take the challenge and grab the object without using your hands.

Making your own is easy and can be made as big or small as you like. Create various objects to suit your theme from paper or felt, add small magnets (or paperclips). Having a toy fishing rod or simply a stick with a string and a magnet attached will do the trick.

Bonus: Colouring

Of course, having a few colouring sheets and crayons or pencils will always keep young and old entertained.
